According to sources, Dr Matiang’i is at the center of the plot, with claims surfacing that he has been attempting to arm twist the university council, in a well coordinated plan to see Rongo University College Principal Prof Samwel Gudu succeed Mibey.

Already there are reports that Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof Nathan Ogechi is expected to be appointed VC in acting capacity as Mibey exits.

This is part of the elaborate plot to ensure that after the lapse of 90 days, the position of Vice Chancellor will be re-advertised and interviews done afresh.

This will see Prof Gudu brought in as VC, while Prof Ogechi will succeed him at Rongo University College.

Dr Matiang’i is said to be opposed to Prof Kosgey succeeding Mibey as Moi University VC,terming the move as tribal, but ironically in his own Kisii backyard the university is headed by a Kisii. This is seen also as an application of double standards since in very recent appointments in both Kibabii and Maseno university the VC position was given to those from the local community.

The CS is further being criticized for his style of micromanaging institutions by manipulating and interfering with university councils with that being witnessed both at the University of Nairobi and Kenyatta University.

The situation in Moi University is likely to get out of hand if not well handled.

Already there is standoff with the Kenya Union of Domestic, Hotel, Educational Institutions, Hospitals, and Allied Workers(kudheiha) having threatened to kick off a strike on Monday over the planned move to have Prof Ogechi as acting VC.

They accuse him of being part of those who pushed for the outsourcing of services by the university.

The simmering tension is due to the fear of job cuts for the over 3,000 employees. The staff have warned that they will paralyze operations at the institution including the forthcoming graduation ceremony if he is given to head the university in acting capacity

me comfortable with him. His name was Tobi. He said he was a doctor. I didn’t have any cause to doubt him. He had extensive knowledge and even gave me some medical advice from time to time. he would claim he wanted to be sure I loved him for him, and not for his looks, and sheepishly I would try to convince him of my undying love, and would try to appease him with nude pictures of my body. 

He eventually made it to Lagos. I met him at the hotel. He was tall, handsome and had a wonderful smile. He made love to me over and over, and convinced me to spend the night with him. I told him I couldn’t, because I had a test the next morning. 
Now at this point, I don’t know what triggered his anger; don’t know if it was because I couldn’t spend the night, or maybe I said something else I can’t remember saying, but whatever it was, brought out a very ugly side of him.  He called me foul names, and kept going on and on about how he always knew I was cheap, and he knew I was sleeping with other men. Thethe same man whom had swept me away,
slammed me on the floor. He told me of how he had shown his friends all my nude pictures and how they had watched the videos and listened to the voice notes, he told me he had made a bet with his friends, that I

part was that no one knew where I was. He turned me over, and told me he was going to teach me a lesson. At this point I was naked.  He raped me from behind, and I mean my anus. The pain was mind blowing. I
struggled, and he hit me. When he was done, he brought out a small blade, and he looked at me for a
minute and said, this scare is going to always serve as a reminder, for girls like you always trying to be more than you are;for stupid fools like you. He put the blade to my nipple and cut it off, and anytime I think of it, I still feel the pain. 
It was like nothing I had ever felt before. He was calm, like he had done it a million times. I could feel the warm blood dripping down my mutilated breast.  Tears of fear and pain running down my face, and suddenly he turned around again, this time all I saw was a flash.

I don’t know how I survived it, but I woke up in a hospital days after.  Well I was awake, but my eyes were swollen shut.

 It took a couple of days for me to open my one good eye, and realize d damage he had done, he had plucked out my eye, and cut my face.
He had cut my breasts up real bad, they had to cut it out, like I had cancer or something. 
There was no record of who I was, coz he had taken everything. He had taken my bag, containing everything I had.
 I was able to tell the nurses about what I could remember, and also give them my mum’s phone number. 
The hospital felt so much pity. They actually treated me for free. Hard to believe right?

Anyway I was taken home after weeks at the hospital to recuperate. It was tough!
I was blind in one eye. I had
one breast and a hideous scar of my face. Talk about your sinage, he did a number on me. 
How dumb was I! sometimes I wish he had killed me, but there are fates worse than death, and I guess this is one of them. He was gone without a trace. The receipt from the hotel was in my name, so yes he had played me from the start.

I didn’t dare go back to school. I was sure everyone would have heard, and I was not going to become a statistic, so I decided to stay home, and mind my business, besides what do I need an education for?  I’d rather stay home, because there is no rising from this.

There is no happy ending to this story. This is the simple ending:
 I was a victim of a sexual predator, and I let him into my life, period! And I
take full responsibility for that. I was driven by greed and lack of morals. I allowed myself fall into an abyss, but well saying all this doesn’t
change anything.
 It’s a memory I will have to live with for the rest of my life. Well not a memory, because I look at myself in the mirror everyday.
 Who would want to see a nude picture of a woman with one breast, one eye, and a stub.

We have our own lives to live, and we can't let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He'll find a way to live on his own'

At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was suicide.

The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also discovered something they didn't know, their son had only one arm and one leg.

The parents in this story are like many of us. We often find it easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to have around, but we do not like people who inconvenience us or make us feel uncomfortable. We would rather keep our distance from people who are not as healthy, beautiful, or smart as we are.

However, there is Someone who will not treat us that way. He loves us with an unconditional love, and welcomes us with open arms into the forever family regardless of our imperfections.

As we go throughout the day, let us ask God to give us the strength and the love in our hearts to accept people as they are, and to help us be more understanding of those who are even the least bit different from ourselves.

On Monday, 19 September 2016 , A taxi driver who claims that he has a video of Citizen TV anchor, Lillian Muli, undressing in his car while drunk now says that the controversial anchor was begging him to bang her hard. Tomatoes !!!A teacher asked her students to bring some tomatoes in a plastic bag to school. Each tomato was to be given the name of a person whom that child hates. So, the number of tomatoes would be equal to the number of persons they hate. On a pre-determined day, All the children brought their tomatoes well addressed. Some had two, some had three and some had five, some even had 20 tomatoes in accordance with the number of people they hated. The teacher then told them they had to carry the tomatoes with them everywhere they go for two weeks. As the days passed the children started to complain about the decay and smell of the tomatoes. The students who had many tomatoes complained it was very heavy to carry and the smell was too much.After a week, the teacher asked the students “How did you feel this week?” The children complained of the awful smell and heavy weight of the tomatoes, especially those who carried several tomatoes. The teacher said, “This is very similar to what you carry in your heart when you don’t like some people. Hatred makes the heart unhealthy and you carry that hatred everywhere. If you can’t bear the smell of spoilt tomatoes for a week, imagine the impact of bitterness on your heart as you carry it daily.” The heart is a beautiful garden that needs regular cleaning of unwanted weeds.  Forgive those who have angered you. North Rift Leaders on Tuesday morning stormed Moi University main campus over the ongoing standoff on the appointment of a new Vice Chancellor(VC).

The leaders included; Governors Jackson Mandago(Uasin Gishu), Alex Tolgos(Elgeyo Marakwet), Uasin Gishu County Assembly Speaker Isaac Terer, MPs James Bett(Kesses), Silas Tiren(Moiben) and Oscar Sudi(Kapseret).

The leaders who held a meeting with the university council, demanded for the extension of retiring Vice Chancellor Prof Richard Mibey by one week as the institution awaits to receive a substantive VC.

They said the appointment of Prof Laban Ayiro as acting VC was a ploy to block Prof Isaac Kosgey, who topped in the interviews, from assuming office.

“They want to give Ayiro to act for two weeks in order to re-advertise the position which is totally Unacceptable. We are demanding that Kosgey who led in the interviews be given the job,”said Tolgos.
Governor Mandago on his part said the extension of Mibey’s term by a week will give room for Education CS Dr Fred Matiang’i to formally appoint a new Vice Chancellor at the institution.

He warned that failure to heed their demands they will join the community and the Moi University staff in a strike that will paralyze a graduation ceremony scheduled for Thursday and Friday.

Yesterday, Education Cabinet Secretary appointed Ayiro as the acting vice-chancellor to replace Prof Richard Mibey whose term ended on Monday, September 19.

According to the CS, Prof Ayiro will act for a period of three months until a substantive Vc is found.
